Come enjoy Camp Fitch in the spring, too! Cabin camping, rock wall, crafts, floor hockey, dodge ball, ping pong, Foosball, carpet ball, and more.
Camp Fitch is a YMCA run facility. During the winter, they host groups like ours for a weekend of fun and adventure. One of the best parts is that we get to see the campground twice this year to do events we might not normally be able to in the winter.
There is a cost for this event which covers 2-night stay, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. It also covers use of the Camp and the cost of the YMCA personnel who help out with the many activities available during the weekend.
You can arrive anytime after 5pm on Friday night. Most people arrive between 7-8pm. Check-in at the Andrews Dining Hall upon arrival.
Cabin Assignments are Pending for the spring.
If you have not been to Fitch before, take a look at the map below so you can see how to get to the cabins. For those staying at Russell, you must drive down the road past the main lodge entrance and make a left at the first road. REMEMBER THAT BUNKS ARE FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. Beecher is at the top of the hill on the right side on the main road and is not a quiet cabin. Some of the older children usually stay here. Skeggs is also at the top of this hill. Parking is located right at the base of the path that leads up a hill to the cabins. The main camp fire is behind Beecher. Adults usually gather around the fire at night. Both cabins have modern bathroom facilities and carpeting. Each accommodates up to 38 individuals. Russell is at the top of the hill near the inner tube sledding area - left side of the main road. Russell is the quiet cabin. Stay tuned for last minute cabin updates.
Cabin life is anything but peaceful and quiet. Kids will be up later than you want and be extremely tired by the end of the weekend. Light sleepers will want ear plugs. Please make your kids aware of the people around them. If someone is trying to sleep, be respectful. Lights out at 11. This does not mean you have to go to bed then but you need to be quiet and respectful of those sleeping. LTN has many new, younger members who will want to sleep earlier. Some members prefer to hang extra sheets on their bunks for additional privacy.
There is a welcome meeting at the main lodge around 8pm when Camp staff give a quick overview of what is planned for the weekend. Don't worry if you cannot make that. There are plenty of people who have been to Fitch who can update you. But they have given out a wrist strap in the past so make sure you check on that if you are not there at 8 or 9pm.
